Introducing Ms. Laura Lorenzo

Laura has been dancing since the age of 5. Her training began with a
local dance academy in New Jersey which included Ballet, Flamenco &
Jazz and which she completed in 8 years. Throughout grammar school and
high school she competed as a cheerleader as part of a nationally
recognized championship team where she continued learning the importance
of hard work, dedication, showmanship and being a team player.
In
the mid-90’s Laura ran into a high school athlete- turned-dancer at the
infamous Copacabana that introduced her to the world of Salsa. Her
first gig was at the First Salsaweb Convention in Washington DC where
her life would change forever. Laura has been a member with Cultural
Explosion, Fuerza Latina, Caribbean Soul & Santo Rico. She has
instructed and performed in NJ, NY, Boston, Los Angeles, Canada, London,
Paris, Italy and Switzerland.
She has volunteered choreography
for David Melendez’ Sweethearts @ Starlite Dance Studio in the Bronx, NY
and The Side Street Kids also of the Bronx, NY. Laura believes that
talent is a God given gift and a form of expression for everyone. She
believes technique and skill can be developed through hard work. We are
so very excited to have Laura as part of our family here at Nuevolution
Dance Studio.
